Impact Evaluation of the European Union funded Tsogolo la thanzi (TSOLATA) Phase II School Feeding Programme in Malawi

Evaluation of a home-grown school feeding programme financed by the European Union, implemented by the World Food Programme and the Government of Malawi. The Evaluation involves ~6,360 household surveys (including nutritional assessments, learning assessments (EGRA & EGMA) for ~4,800 primary school children and Child Development Assessments (MDAT) for ~1,560 children in Early Child Development Centres. The impact evaluation will involve three rounds of data collection: baseline (2024), midline (2025), and endline (2026) The CSR at the University of Malawi is collaborating with the Centre for Educational Research and Training (CERT) and the Center for Global Development Europe (CGDE) in the evaluation.
