CSR was contracted by the institute for development Studies (IDS) of UK to conduct a survey for a period of 2 weeks in Mangochi on migration and social protection. The purpose of the survey was to understand whether Malawians who lived and worked in south Africa and are now back to Malawi were having access to the various social benefits that are offered in SA such as pension, sick benefits, housing, medical and whether they are paid whilst on leave.
