This was a research project funded by DFID through Wyg and Greenwich University AND IMPLEMENTED BY THE Department of Human Geography at Lund University in cooperation with the University of Malawi, Sokoine University of Agricluture, The University of Zambia and LUCSUS. the aim of the project was to analyze patterns of smallholder intensification in Zambia, Tanzania and Malawi from a sustainability perspective with a particular attetion to Gender and youth; and the ways existing rural institutions could be enabled and incentivized to improve equity given prevailing policies, norms and structures
