Sustainable Plastic Attitudes to Benefit Communities and their Environments (SPACES)
Project details
The project was about understanding the public health and environmental effects of plastic pollution in Malawi. The study area was Ndirande where data will be collected through observations, household interviews and focus group discussions with residents, market leaders, vendors and distributors of plastics. At the local level the study also had key in-depth interviews with municipal authorities, civil society groups and producers and manufacturers of plastics while at the national level the study interacted with key informant interviews with Government ministries, officials, regulators of the environment and development partners,
